Loop UX Senior Capstone Project

Role: team member

Course: SI 407/487 - user experience design senior final project course

overview

For our senior capstone project, my group and I were tasked with developing a project idea and designing a technical solution through the UX design process that would culminate in a high-fidelity prototype and supplemental 60-page report. This project was developed from September 2015 to April 2016 where it was presented at the UM School of Information Senior Design Exposition, open to the public.

Loop proposes an improved platform to the current course evaluation system at the University of Michigan School of Information by offering a continual loop for two-way feedback and communication between professors and students. In approaching this problem, we designed this web app to connect professors and students in a more informal and continual way than current course evaluations. The project aims to make feedback an integral part of the academic process in a way that will 1) provide a simple solution for increased and widespread student engagement, 2) create a constructive and appropriate method of concise communication between students and faculty, and 3) accelerate the process for professors to address the needs of their students.
